Meet Your Host
Hi, I’m Meghan- the heart behind the Private Steep Society, a lifelong tea enthusiast and lover of history, hospitality, and beautiful gatherings. Hosting tea in my home has been a dream for years, and I’m thrilled to share this experience with guests who appreciate elegance, charm, and a little indulgence.
A Love for Beauty, Hospitality, and Slow Living
I’m a homeschool mom who believes there is something truly special about slowing down and creating space for meaningful moments. In 2022, our family made the move from Grandview Heights to London, where we quickly fell in love with the charm of small-town life and the character of our historic home.
A Home Meant to Be Shared
Our home, built in the 19th century, is filled with the very things I love most—antiques, thoughtful details, and a sense of history. It felt only natural to open our doors and share that atmosphere with others through intimate tea gatherings.
My husband, David, works in park management with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, and together we’ve built a life centered around family, faith, and a love for the beauty found in everyday moments.
Why Tea?
I’ve always been drawn to the art of tea—the elegance, the tradition, and the simple joy of gathering around a beautifully set table. I love any excuse to dress up, to create something lovely, and to turn an ordinary afternoon into something memorable.
Private Steep Society was born from that love: a way to bring people together, to slow the pace of the day, and to offer a small, meaningful escape from the everyday.
